The City Clerk's office is responsible for all aspects of checking, savings, money market and loan accounts for all departments, maintaining adequate office supplies, writing checks, mailing and filing all invoices, reconciling bank statements, depositing and withdrawing monies necessary to balance all funds and entering all disbursements correctly in order to balance all ledgers, records and financial documents. In addition, our duties include maintaining the meter books, calculating the readings, processing, printing and distributing utility bills for all customers. We document and file all records pertaining to city business, including the Code of Ordinances, Resolutions, all licenses and warranties, and prepare all documents necessary for council meetings.

Our payroll duties include the distribution of time cards to all departments, maintenance of accurate records, preparations and distribution of W-2 forms, maintainenance of all employee health insurance records, and the preparation and filing of all quarterly IPERS, Job Service, and Federal and State reports. We prepare and file all legal documents, the annual city budget, and state and federal gas, electric and water reports.

We also maintain accurate records and distribute monthly Library Financial Reports, organize and schedule all aspects of the Little League program, keep track of bookings for the Community Center, assist in all community events, fully maintain the City's website, assist customers with concerns or complaints, schedule all meetings, attend workshops and seminars for continuing education and process all licenses, fees and miscellaneous forms. We are proud to serve the residents of the City of Whittemore.
